Frequently Asked Question

What Information Do I Need Before Starting a Packaging Design Project?

To get the best results, you should have a clear understanding of your product’s dimensions, your target audience, and your brand’s core values. It’s also helpful to know your budget, any regulatory requirements (like nutrition facts or legal disclaimers), and the type of packaging material you prefer. If you have existing brand assets like a logo or color palette, those are essential too.

Do You Provide Dielines, or Do I Need to Get Them From My Printer?

We can work either way! If you already have a printer, it’s best to get the specific dielines (the flat template of your box or package) directly from them to ensure 100% accuracy. If you haven’t chosen a printer yet, we can create standard dielines for you, which you can then take to any manufacturer.

What Files Will I Receive at the End of the Project?

You will receive industry-standard, print-ready files. Typically, this includes high-resolution PDFs, Adobe Illustrator (.AI) source files, and outlined EPS files. We also provide high-quality 3D mockups (in PNG or JPG format) that you can use for marketing, social media, or your online store before the product is even manufactured.

Can You Design Sustainable or Eco-Friendly Packaging?

Absolutely. We specialize in designing for sustainability. We can recommend eco-friendly materials, minimalist designs that use less ink and material, and formats that reduce waste. Just let us know your sustainability goals during the discovery phase, and we’ll tailor the design to match your eco-conscious values.

How Long Does the Packaging Design Process Take?

A typical packaging design project takes 2-4 weeks. This timeline allows for the initial discovery phase, concept development, feedback rounds, and final file preparation. Complex projects with multiple SKUs or intricate illustrations may take longer. We’ll provide a specific timeline after reviewing your project scope.

Do You Offer 3D Mockups of the Packaging?

Yes! 3D mockups are a standard part of our process. We provide realistic 3D renderings that show exactly how your product will look in real life. These are incredibly useful for spotting any potential issues before printing and are perfect for listing your product on Amazon or your website immediately.

Can You Handle Multiple Variations (SKUs) of the Same Product?

Yes, we frequently work with product lines that have multiple flavors, scents, or sizes. We create a “master design” first to establish the look and feel. Once approved, we extend that design across all your SKUs, ensuring brand consistency while clearly differentiating each variation through color, iconography, or text.

What If I Need to Make Changes After the Design is Finalized?

We offer a set number of revision rounds during the design process to ensure you’re happy. If you need changes after the final files have been delivered (e.g., ingredients list update, regulation change), we can certainly help. Small text updates are often quick, while major structural changes might be treated as a new project or hourly update.

Do You Help With Finding a Printer or Manufacturer?

While we are a design agency and not a manufacturer, we have relationships with several trusted printing partners. We can recommend vendors based on your location, budget, and specific packaging needs. We also speak “printer language” and can communicate directly with your chosen vendor to sort out technical details.

Design the experience, not just the container.
